Muiden Castle (Dutch:Muiderslot) 10 miles from Amsterdam. It was built in 1296 as a watercastle, there were 4 round towers on the 4 corners, and moat and a drawbridge were for the defence. The castle was mainly used for collecting toll sailing the Vecht a important river running to the South of the Netherlands from the Zuider Zee. There is also a famouse plum garden dating back to the 13th century.
