Creative Statement

I consider myself an enthusiastic amateur photographer. I don’t aspire to becoming a professional photographer in any way shape or form – it’s just not for me. However, what I do aspire to is taking great travel and holiday photos to look back on.
It all began when I stumbled across Old Photography Magazine’s my Dad used to collect while looking for something else. I absolutely loved reading and knowing not only what the camera was capable of, by what I was capable of. So, I lugged that Camera around, snapped and snapped and snapped. I still struggle with understanding many photography concepts and settings, but each year I know a little more than I did the previous year and have a few more photos to prove it.
Photography makes you think about your habits, think about when and what you photograph, trying a different style, shoot with a different lens etc. and the opportunities keeps you inspired. Looking at various professional photographers’ profile on social media and their stunning frames – I often end up thinking ‘I’ll do something like that one day!’
